Sandy has been singing her whole life and found the Grand Rapids Chorus of Sweet Adeline's in March of 1998.  She is chairperson of the Membership Recruitment Committee, Editor of the chorus weekly newsletter, and Show Chairperson. She says she “Was born to sing Tenor”, and barbershop music is, “The most challenging, but also the most fun type of music to sing.”

Sandy is married to Bob and they have two daughters, Jessica and Dena .  Dena joined the chorus in 1999 when she was 11 years old and sings Tenor with her mother.  She is also the violin teacher to Koby Westers.

They also have a birdie named Pepper.

She is married to Pete, also a barbershopper in the Pioneer District quartet Wildcard!  Judy and Pete have 3 children.  Silas, Koby and Abby.  Silas is quickly becoming an accomplished pianist while having the privilege to study with the dynamic and prestigious Phil Pletcher, former Music Director of St. Cecelia Music Society in Grand Rapids, Mi.  Koby enjoys violin lessons, gymnastics and soccer and Abby loves to hop and sing! (would you expect anything else in this family?)
